The American Cancer Society’s Gus Machado Golf Classic is a premiere, amenity-rich golf tournament that raises funds for the American Cancer Society’s lifesaving mission. Our organization has played a role in most of the cancer research breakthroughs in recent history. While much progress has been made in cancer research, we still have a lot of work to do.
In 1998, Gus Machado founded the Gus Machado Classic Charity Golf Tournament benefiting the American Cancer Society. He took his passion and love for golf and turned it into generosity. With every year that passed, this tournament became more and more successful.
To date, more than $2 million has been raised from this event to help the American Cancer Society continue to fund life-saving research as well as free programs and services for cancer patients and their families in South Florida and across the nation.
We invite you to support our efforts by joining us on Monday, November 4, 2024 for a day of first-class golf and networking, followed by an evening reception at Indian Creek Country Club.
This year is a very special year as we celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Gus Machado Golf Classic and 110 years of wins against cancer as the American Cancer Society celebrates its 110th anniversary! We know with your participation, we can end cancer as we know it, for everyone.
We hope to see you on the course!
