The American Cancer Society’s Golf Classic is a high-end, amenity-rich tournament that raises funds for the American Cancer Society’s lifesaving mission. Our organization has played a role in most of the cancer research breakthroughs in recent history. While much progress has been made in cancer research, we still have a lot of work to do.

In 1998, Gus Machado founded the Gus Machado Classic Charity Golf Tournament benefiting the American Cancer Society. He took his passion and love for golf and turned it into generosity. With every year that passed, this tournament became more and more successful.

We invite you to support our efforts to finish the fight against cancer by joining us on Monday, November 3, 2025 for a day of first-class golf and networking, followed by an evening dinner. By bringing together business and community leaders to this event, we are able to support the American Cancer Society’s mission.

In the past 25 years, the Gus Machado Golf Classic has raised more than $2M to help the American Cancer Society continue to fund lifesaving research as well as free programs and services for cancer patients and their families in South Florida and across the nation. We know with your participation, we can help to make this cancer’s last century.

This year is a very special year as we celebrate the 26th anniversary of the Gus Machado Golf Classic and the American Cancer Society celebrates the tournaments’ 111th anniversary!
